On Sunday, April 9th, 2017, PC Basheer, Director, Peoples Foundation handed over keys for the 5 houses that were constructed in phase-2 of New Springs- Rehabilitation Project. As on date, 10 houses have been handed over to the residents of Harishchandrapuram village, Thiruvilangadu (near Chennai). Toilets for these houses were constructed under Prime Minister’s Swatch Bharat scheme. In this occasion, an e-Seva center was also set up at Harishchandrapuram, for the benefit of students in the village. Work on third phase of the project with 5 more houses under construction was started. Earlier, P. Mujeeb Rahman, Chairman, Peoples Foundation inaugurated the overhead tank to the village as part the clean Drinking Water plan. The village community along with Masjid imam and secretary, Oruma Volunteers participated in the function.
